Lucy Gaffney
Lucy Gaffney is Biodiversity Consultant who founded Wildplan in 2021. She has over 15 years’ experience in Animal Science & Biodiversity.
Lucy has a specialist skillset in development of Biodiversity Action Plans for business which align with the Science Based Targets for Nature and Natural Capital Assessments.
She works with the Cork Nature Network as their Conservation Manager overseeing their biodiversity conservation projects and habitat management in Beaumont Quarry in Cork City. She also works with the Douglas Sustainability Community Team, designing and implementing local biodiversity and sustainability projects. She is working with Natural Capital Ireland leading the development of Ireland’s Business & Biodiversity platform.
Lucy is passionate about helping businesses develop meaningful biodiversity action plans and advancing the links between conservation and sustainability development goals. Lucy is working with Climeaction to support our clients in developing practical ways to support, restore and enhance biodiversity in their supply chains.

Nick Bennett
Nick has over 20 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry having started in the food packaging sector before moving on, via FMCG consulting, to the beverage industry working for Diageo at their corporate centre in London. Since then, he has been in Ireland leading Glanbia’s global Procurement function and as a Supply Chain consultant for Leading Edge Group and with his business Supply Advantages. He brings deep understanding of all aspects of the supply chain which allows Climeaction to offer practical and expert sustainable supply chain & procurement consulting to our customers.

Ivan Sproule
Ivan is an energy consultant with over 40 years experience in the sector. Ivan has worked across all types of business, from Micro to Large companies and across numerous industries. Ivan formed Sproule Energy in 2019.
Ivan is an experienced Energy Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the renewables and environment industry.
He is skilled in Sustainable Development, Energy Policy, Environmental Impact Assessment, Energy Efficiency, and Environmental Awareness. Strong operations professional with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused in Business Management from Institute of Public Administration.
Ivan is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
Ivan held a number of senior positions within the SEAI and was instrumental in the formation of a number of Ireland’s most successful programs for business, farms, homes and industry.

Ivo Fay
Ivo is a Senior Human Resources & Business Change professional with a demonstrate history of leadership roles in the financial services, IT and other
industries. In 2021 Ivo formed The Coaching Academy.
Ivo is working with Climeaction to develop our unique HR for Climate Action Diagnostic assessments to support transformative change in organizations. Ivo has an innate passion for Climate Action.
Ivo, has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources and Change Management and has worked with companies such as Liberty Insurance, Provident Financial Group, Oracle and others.
Ivo is skilled in HR operations and Business Partnering at a strategic level incorporating Employee Relations, Operational Management, Change Management, Employment Law, Talent Management & Coaching experience.
Recent Project experience includes large scale Organisational Design & Development, Tech change, Employee Engagement, Culture Change and Regulatory Change management. Ivo is passionate about adding commercial value, by continually developing a positive, supportive can-do environment underpinned by strong personal values.

Dr Toby Green
Toby is an expert in Carbon Accounting and works with Climeaction to support our clients in the development of robust carbon footprints.
Toby Co-Founded Carbon Green Ltd (MyCarbon) in 2018 with Michael Greenhough.
Toby has recently finished his PhD at the University of Leeds, with a research focus on Bioenergy.
It was during the first year of his PhD when Toby was enlightened to the immense challenge of the Climate Crisis and decided to make his life’s work tackling the challenge. During his PhD, Toby became trained and certified in carbon calculation, carbon reporting, carbon reductions and carbon offsetting in order to help other individuals and businesses be part of the solution to climate change.
Toby holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in materials engineering from Loughborough University.

Michael Greenhough
Michael is an expert in Carbon Accounting and works with Climeaction to provide our clients with robust Carbon Footprint Assessments.
Michael Co-Founded Carbon Green Ltd (MyCarbon) in 2018 with Toby Green.
Michael’s passion for the environment stemmed from a university project on how to reduce freshwater consumption within the oil and gas industry.
Michael has worked in aerospace for 5 years and has held various roles including project management, research and development, manufacturing engineering, operations management and inventory / planning management. Michael’s focus in the aerospace industry was on the design and manufacture of lightweight / fuel efficient technologies focused on reducing the environmental impact of the aerospace industry.
Michael holds a master’s of materials engineering from Loughborough University.

David Whelan
David is an experienced process improvement manager with 20+ years experience in technology and supply chain management, corporate training, and community climate awareness education.
He has a background in mechanical and manufacturing engineering and has worked across a number of industry sectors including semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and i n the start-up technology environment.
His most recent work brings him into the area of Green Public Procurement training for public sector organisations, as well as the delivery of research papers around the topic of Sustainable Procurement for the public and private sector.
He is actively i nvolved i n the area of Social Enterprise and Community Development, as a member of the Board of Venture Out Wilderness Project CLG, a not-for-profit delivering personal development programmes to people from disadvantaged and marginalised communities, and through his involvement in the Edible Landscape Project CLG, an award-winning not-for-profit social enterprise connecting our food choices to climate change through teacher-developed programmes, and climate information platform.
He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technological University Dublin, an MBA from the Michael Smurfit School of Business at University College Dublin, and a post-graduate certificate i n the Management of Clean Technologies from Dublin City University. He is currently enrolled on the post graduate diploma i n Circular Economy Leadership for the Built Environment at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
With excellent communication, facilitation, and team building skills, David has the ability to deliver complex information in a clear and concise way to clients across all levels of the organisation. His particular areas of interest and expertise lie i n the area of Climate Change risk mitigation, life-cycle assessment & analysis, sustainable procurement, and net-zero carbon strategy development for business, Carbon Management and Circular Economy Innovation facilitation for micro-businesses, SMEs and corporate clients.
