Climeaction Case Studies
A global semiconductor manufacturing leader engaged us to help manage their energy usage and implement climate action at their manufacturing facility.
Our client faced the daunting challenge of managing an annual energy expenditure of nearly €20 million. Their goal was to achieve cost and energy savings through:
1. Energy efficiency
2. Water conservation
3. Carbon emissions reduction
4. Overall site sustainability
They needed a comprehensive plan to increase efficiency while maintaining high production levels at their production facilities.
We conducted a detailed review of the opportunities available to the facility, identified energy hotspots, and developed a strategic plan.
To support the client's long-term sustainability goals, we implemented systems such as ISO 50001 Energy Management System and ISO46001Water Efficiency Management System.
With energy- and cost-saving systems built into their business, we equipped them to continually improve their operation and reach their ambitious targets.
Despite business growth and increased energy consumption, our client reduced their energy intensity from 4.26 kWh/cm² in 2020 to 2.83 kWh/cm² in 2022: a net energy savings of 58,146,371 kWh.
These savings and efficiencies have put them on track to meet ambitious long-term goals, including a 50% carbon reduction by 2025, 50% water recycling rate by 2025, and carbon neutrality by 2030.
