This role is suited to those with a qualification specific to Sustainable Energy Engineering or related subject such as Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering.
Objectives of this Role
- Support our team in the delivery of our Climate Action as a Service with large industrial sites in the Power Generation, Technology, Manufacturing & Food and Dairy Sector.
- Undertake surveys and audits of business of all scales to identify opportunities for energy cost savings and decarbonization.
- Implement Climate Action Programs in business of all scales – working with our expert team of consultants to deliver real results.
- Collaborate with the wider Climeaction consulting team in supporting full supply chain decarbonization of business of all scales.
- Support the growth of our business decarbonization business in Ireland & North America.
- Leverage the company’s consulting panels and their expertise to deliver world leading full scope decarbonization of business.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level 8 Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 0 – 5 years in a Energy Engineering
- Experience / Education background in Sustainability / Energy / Carbon / Environment
- Experience in working with business customers
- Demonstrated ability to keep client projects on plan and on budget
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, logic, innovation, and collaboration skills
- Graduate or early stage career engineers encouraged to apply
- Full Clean Driving Licence & own transport essential
This role is suited to those with a qualification specific to Electrical, Mechanical, Energy or Process engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working directly on client sites to deliver energy projects through our Climate Action as a Service product, working to develop project documentation and control, scheduling, and project supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks’ completion. You must be capable of building strong client relationships. You will receive full training and support to deliver on this specialist role. This may be an opportunity for a project engineer interested in building their expertise in the Climate Action & Energy sector.
Daily & Monthly Responsibilities
- Assist with on-site project management to ensure project success
- Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
- Support Energy & Technical assessments along with Industrial Energy specialists
- Prepare Basis of Design & RFP documentation
- Report out on a weekly basis to site teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- >3 years’ of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
- Strong experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Full clean driving license and own transport essential
These roles will be ideally based primarily in the Leinster / Dublin region, however applicants from all across the island of Ireland are encouraged to apply.
We seek applications from experienced Energy Consultants with 5 – 7 years experience in Industrial Manufacturing.
Objectives of this Role
- Undertake Industrial Energy Audits & provide expert support to large industry clients in reducing their energy costs and carbon emissions.
- Implement Energy & Carbon Management programs in large business – leading these programs from a technical and program management perspective to deliver cost, energy and carbon savings while improving overall operational performance.
- Collaborate with the wider Climeaction consulting team in supporting full supply chain decarbonization of large industry clients.
- Support the growth of our Large Industrial decarbonization business in Ireland.
- Leverage the company’s in house expertise and that of our external partners to deliver world leading full scope decarbonization of large industrial manufacturing clients.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Attend Large Industrial Manufacturing sites on a weekly basis to lead their programs from a technical and performance management perspective.
- Conduct comprehensive energy and climate action audits of clients business.
- Undertake detailed reviews of energy performance across utility systems and manufacturing processes.
- Undertake Energy Efficient Design reviews
- Complete Measurement & Verification exercises in line with IPMVP standards.
- Develop statistical models to evaluate the opportunities for carbon and cost reductions.
- Work closely with company directors and consulting teams to create new services and products in this sector, an actionable product development plan, and a rollout plan for the new products.
- Work with senior management in the delivery of client engagements and associated outputs, supporting the team in day-to-day client management, project management and the development of high-quality client deliverables.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level 8 Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in a consulting role ideally, however we will accept applications from suitably experienced individuals with demonstrated extensive experience in this sector of 2 years or more for other upcoming roles.
- Experience with implementing Energy Management programs in large business.
- Experience in Industrial Energy Auditing
- Demonstrated ability to keep client projects on plan and on budget
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
